Boy Stuff

When you are two, I don't know if you can have a better day than firetrucks and Chuck E Cheese. This was how we spent one of Dad's days off this fall! Kudos to Jenny for getting us in with a school group at the fire station.

The firefighter squatted down to be by Isaac in the picture, so Isaac figured he better squat as well!
Isaac and his old man shooting hoops...and Seth dreaming about shooting hoops. Good times

Changes, Subject to Change

You may note that several posts have been added and the blog template has been changed. Be aware that these changes and posts are subject to change as I (Eric) made them without adult supervision (Jenny)

Seth

Just a few more photos of Seth so he can get some time in the spotlight... Thanksgiving 2008

Blessing Seth

We blessed Seth in October and were happy to be joined by many friends and family. After the blessing we had folks over for some food and good times. At one point in time we were talking about the need to be vigilant and the importance of little things in living the gospel. I then pointed out like only going to Sacrament meeting and having a bunch of your friends over for food on Fast Sunday...
Thanks to all those who came and helped us make this a special day and a celebration of Seth. For those of you who have not met him yet he is a happy, relaxed little boy who loves his mommy and daddy and his brother Isaac. His favorite pastime right now is lying on the bed while Isaac jumps up and down on the other side. He giggles and giggles.

Go Cougars!

Every year we try to make it to a BYU football game. In 2008 we made it to the San Diego State game with family. A good time was had by all. Jenny had the pleasure of explaining some of football's finer points to Tess, her darling niece. Ian an Scott...and what is Christy doing with her fingers.

Isaac was old enough to really understand it this year. This next picture makes me a proud Papa.
Yes, he is singing the fight song!Seth on the other hand needs a little time before Cougar games hold the same excitement as they do for the rest of us...
For the next few days after that, every time we got in the car Isaac asked if we were going to the BYU football game.

In December I went to the Army Navy (thanks Doug) football game in Philadelphia. I had to leave early on a Saturday morning so Isaac was still asleep when I left. At halftime I had an angry voicemail from Isaac asking why I had gone to the football game without him! Sometimes when I call from work he asks "Are you at a football game Dad?" I assure him that the next game I go to I will take him too!

Halloween

While my posts are not as witty as Jenny's I thought I would post a few pictures of our last few months as we have blogged much less since Seth's birth.

Jenny and the boys spent Halloween at Grandma's with lots of cousins. Isaac trick or treated with gusto, and when finished apparently had not gotten quite enough.

He stood at the door at Grandma's waiting for trick or treaters. Soon he opened the door and began to solicit trick or treaters. "Hey kids, come and get some candy"

Stuffed up

I have been called out before but my little bro who is near and dear to my heart emailed me, "Time to update your blog." It wasn't really a request more like stating a known fact. So I'll tell you about our day.

Seth has a cold, so Eric bought a humidifier. He set it up last night after the rest of us had all gone to bed, and this morning Isaac found the empty humidifier box. Well, it wasn't exactly "empty," it had the styrofoam casing inside. Isaac stuffed styrofoam up his nose. I was not sitting two feet away from him. (This may be a huge deterrent from friends ever asking me to watch their children.) The papa took him to Urgent care and they couldn't get it out, now we have to go to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist tomorrow. Nuts! This is one of those crazy stories that happen to other people. I am trying to grin, even if it is through gritted teeth. Maybe tomorrow I'll post a picture of Isaac's nostril.

Oh ya, Eric called me on the phone to share his thought, "Isn't it ironic that the thing I bought to un-stuff Seth's nose, totally stuffed up Isaac's." hmph
