"So, are you craving anything weird?"

Until about two weeks ago, my answer was a boring "nope." Mmm...things have changed. I am having a totally bizarre craving. With Isaac I never craved anything, though I ate a lot of chocolate pudding. But with this little fellow all rational cravings have gone out the window. Some people want pickles, others want fruit or protein, I want...cement. You read that correctly, the stuff sidewalks and playgrounds are made of. If my belly weren't so huge I would likely lay down and lick the sidewalk until there was a groove. This is the ONLY reason I am grateful my stomach is so humongous, because it has been a temptation. Stones and crunchy gravel also have some appeal. The other day Isaac and I were out walking and he found a big pile of cement and stones. It looked like someone had torn up their sidewalk. He wanted to climb up the big mound and I seriously wanted to grab a big chunk of cement with rocks in it and bite. Gross you say, gross it may be, and yet I'd prefer a slap of cement to just about anything. Bon appetite!

Correct Principles

Just in case anyone was wondering whether I was teaching Isaac correct principles...

Little Drummer Boy

Isaac was born with music in his veins. He has more music/motion/rhythm in his body that Eric and I put put together.

One of my favorite things is listening to Isaac sing, his own melody and his own lyrics, I could listen all day long. At night, he says "Awn-ion" which is his way of saying "Singing." Mostly he just listens but sometimes he joins in. It's the same at church or watching a Thomas DVD with music. He is really good at pronouncing the last word and makes me think he knows the whole song.

So here is our little drummer doing his thing. Drum Isaac, drum!

Are you having twins?

Lady (okay maybe three different ladies): Are you having twins?
Me: No. Are you going to make that plastic surgery appointment?

I never actually said it, but I get a little feisty when I am pregnant. I'm fat, probably the size of a small whale, I realize this. Even my own mother suggested that my due date might be a month off. When I took that idea to my doctor, he sort of shook his head and told me my uterus was measuring "right on target." He proceeded to explain that my hormones are likely "bloating" my intestines. Great! Oh ya, I also have excessive amniotic fluid which may be adding to my swelling bulge.
ONE blessed lady down the road told me I look very good for being seven months pregnant. Since then, I have been mentioning her individually by name in every prayer, bless her dear heart.
Other news, Isaac has taken it upon himself to fetch the phone whenever it rings, taught himself, didn't even need to bribe him. And when I drop my keys he picks them up and hands them to me. He is a good boy and I feel super blessed to be his mommy. Hope my #2 is as good.

One word answers

Eric just saw a finished list of questions which I was supposed to answer in one word. I was doing it because it was simple and I needed something else besides my last embarrassing story. Anyway, the Eric said, "Don't do those question/answer things on our blog." There it is ladies and gentlemen, "OUR" blog. We've come a long way baby!!! Next, I'm going to post a family picture and eventually he might even type. Stay tuned.

Okay, so I minimized the list in a major way. I'm only including the questions that make me happy to think about.

Your favorite thing? scooter (pictured below. When I rode around the neighborhood with Isaac in the basket, a neighbor lady gave me a safety lecture about him not wearing a helmet and him not being in the basket. As I look at the picture below, it doesn't look very safe, does it? But it was the Amish lady I bought it from who suggested I do it and she had done it with all her children for years. She seemed wholesome.)
Your favorite drink? milk (with chocolate in it...preferably from the BYU creamery)
The last thing you did? read (Isaac loves the 3 Billy Goats. His papa does the best voices)

Toi-let or not toi-let

I made Eric swear that he would not breath a word of this to anyone, especially not our contractor, and here I am blogging about it.
So this is what went down, or rather what DIDN'T go down. We hired a very nice gentleman to make a half bath into a full bath. He has done a good job and we think he has done the work at a very good deal for us. It has taken longer than any of us thought, so today when he installed the vanity and toilet I was super excited. Now I don't no why I am still a seven year old when it comes to being "the first one to use..." item X but I am totally seven. Eric came home from work and Paul was still working on things, they chatted awhile and then Paul left. After dinner Eric went to the regular bathroom and I thought "Yipee, I'm gonna be first to use the new facilities." And I was the first to use it, but as Eric liked pointing out, "You were first to use the toilet Jenny, but I'm gonna be first to use it and flush it!" Ha ha, not so funny. My heart just dropped when I flushed and I didn't hear the regular slushing of water. So I flushed again, but nothing. I peered into the tank and it was empty, dry as a bone. Oh no, no, no. There was water in the bowl, so I was confused but then Eric was kind enough to tell me what he and Paul were talking about. Paul needed an extra pipe, and filled the bowl to keep sewer smells from seeping into our new bathroom. Take it from me to always flush first when you are trying a new toilet. Somebody is bound to thank me for that one day. t

Cool spoon

Inside specially marked boxes of Apple Jacks, comes the the coolest spoon EVER! It's an Indiana Jones spoon that glows in the dark. I wouldn't blame the military if they made them standard issue. Just lick your spoon then stick it in your pocket for quick access for middle of the night raides and stuff. Cool spoon plus you get to eat Apple Jacks. Seems like a win win scenerio to me.

Isaac and his Granny are good gigglers. I am posting this so Isaac and I can laugh when we visit this site.
