There are stars up there!

I have to hurry and write this: a) before I forget and b) before Eric gets home (wink).

I was just in the front room watching Isaac look out the window. He said, "Dat's not a ball, dat's the moon." Ladies and gentlemen, we might have an astronomer on our hands. Brilliant.

He also said, "Dere's stars up [th]ere. I love stars. [Th]ey make me happy." I am officially in love with him.

Internet widower

Once in awhile, when Eric comes home from work, I retreat to the computer to catch up on my blogs. Well just now Eric was folding clothes and I could faintly hear a little ditty he was singing about being an internet widow. A few minutes later he let me know Seth wanted to eat.

Now, I am a nursing mama, and I have my priorities straight, yes I sure do. No matter how good a blog is, I am gonna stop reading and feed my baby. Please don't try and change my mind, if he wants to eat I must oblige. Anyway, Eric called me over to feed Seth. In a bit of a panic Eric thrust Seth into my arms, "Here take him, so I can go stop Isaac from hammering (literally, hammer in hand) the computer. Then what would you do if you couldn't blog." Snooty.
"Uh, I could totally go back to bon bons and TV. Duh." I see your snooty-ness and will retort in kind.
Eric half snorts and replies, "Ya, but then you would have to go to the grocery store." Hmm, let me just point out that when my baby wants to eat, I stop everything, and nurse him. Oh yes I do.

Don't go dad...

E says I never blog, so this one is dedicated to the one I love...

Eric is the institute instructor in our stake. He usually gets home a little after 6 and heads out the door a little before 7. The other night Isaac was sad that his papa had to go, and was begging him to stay at home:

Isaac: Don't go daddy. You can't go! You can't go!
Dad: Isaac, daddy promise Heavenly Father I would. I have to go.

That one was heavy, the little man had no chance for a real rebuttal. He was sad and it is this mama's job to help keep her men happy, ease the burden of not getting the papa for the night, if you will.

Mom: Isaac, mama will let you watch Dora.
Isaac (super animated and excited, brows raised): YOU WILL?!
Mom: mmhmm
Isaac (dead pan): Go dad.

Dora trumps Dad.

Boy Stuff

When you are two, I don't know if you can have a better day than firetrucks and Chuck E Cheese. This was how we spent one of Dad's days off this fall! Kudos to Jenny for getting us in with a school group at the fire station.

The firefighter squatted down to be by Isaac in the picture, so Isaac figured he better squat as well!
Isaac and his old man shooting hoops...and Seth dreaming about shooting hoops. Good times

Changes, Subject to Change

You may note that several posts have been added and the blog template has been changed. Be aware that these changes and posts are subject to change as I (Eric) made them without adult supervision (Jenny)

Seth

Just a few more photos of Seth so he can get some time in the spotlight... Thanksgiving 2008

Blessing Seth

We blessed Seth in October and were happy to be joined by many friends and family. After the blessing we had folks over for some food and good times. At one point in time we were talking about the need to be vigilant and the importance of little things in living the gospel. I then pointed out like only going to Sacrament meeting and having a bunch of your friends over for food on Fast Sunday...
Thanks to all those who came and helped us make this a special day and a celebration of Seth. For those of you who have not met him yet he is a happy, relaxed little boy who loves his mommy and daddy and his brother Isaac. His favorite pastime right now is lying on the bed while Isaac jumps up and down on the other side. He giggles and giggles.
